Terms of Service

1. Who we are

CareerTrends is a hiring-intelligence service operated by Tenzin Choedak, an individual seller in the United States ("we", "us"). The service is offered to customers located anywhere in the United States. You can reach us at support@careertrends.io.

By using the service, or by signing in, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, do not use the service.

2. What the service shows, and what it does not claim

We collect open job postings from public job-board APIs - currently Greenhouse, Lever and Ashby - and present them over time so you can see how a company's hiring changes.

Open postings represent hiring intent. They are not confirmed hires, employee headcount, revenue or financial health. Reposts, evergreen listings, multi-hire postings and incomplete public boards all affect how a count should be read. We do not estimate salaries or convert currencies, and "no detected pay" is not proof that pay information is absent. A missing capture is not a zero.

Nothing in the service is career, legal, financial or investment advice, and no output is a representation about any company made by that company.

3. Your account

Accounts are created by signing in with Google through our identity provider, Auth0. An account is tied to the identity your provider asserts, not to your email address: signing in with a different Google account creates a separate account even if the email looks the same.

Keep access to your Google account secure; anyone who can sign in as you can use your account. You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live.

4. Plans, price and billing

The free workspace is available at no charge. CareerTrends Membership is $15 per month, and renews monthly until you cancel.

Payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe-hosted pages. We never receive or store your card number. Charges appear on your card or bank statement as TENZIN CHOEDAK.

Whether your account has Member access is determined by the subscription state Stripe reports to us, not by a page you land on after checkout. If a payment fails or a subscription lapses, Member access ends even if a checkout confirmation is still on screen.

The price shown is the price charged. The membership is a service delivered electronically, and Nevada does not impose sales tax on it, so no tax is added at checkout. Should that ever change, tax is shown on the Stripe checkout page before you pay rather than absorbed into the price.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time through Manage billing in your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for, and then the account returns to the free workspace.

Cancelling a membership and deleting an account are separate actions. See the Cancellation and Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy for deletion.

6. Refunds

Refunds are governed by the Cancellation and Refund Policy, which sets out the refund formula and how to request one.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• access the service with automated tools in a way that degrades it for others, or attempt to bypass rate limits or entitlements;
• resell, redistribute or republish the data as your own product, or present it as confirmed hiring or headcount figures;
• attempt to reach accounts, data or systems that are not yours;
• use the service to break any law, or to mislead anyone about what the data shows.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that creates legal or financial risk for us, or that we are required to close by law.

8. Availability and changes to the service

This is not a guaranteed-uptime service. Collection depends on third-party boards we do not control, and a board can change, throttle or disappear without notice. We may add, change or withdraw features.

Company history begins when a company is first collected. Historical data cannot be backfilled, and company requests require a supported board and verification before collection starts.

9. Ending the agreement

You may delete your account at any time from your account page, or by writing to us. If a subscription is still active, cancel it first: deletion is refused while a payment could still be taken. When a payment record exists, we keep a stripped record of the subscription so that refunds and chargebacks stay reconcilable; the Privacy Policy describes exactly what is kept and what is removed.

If we close an account for a violation of section 7, we tell you which term was broken. Refunds are governed by the Cancellation and Refund Policy and nothing here promises a refund on termination beyond it.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the data is accurate, complete or current.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, opportunities or data, arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow parts of the exclusions above, in which case those parts do not apply to you.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. This is a one-person business operating from Nevada, so that is the law that applies to it and to any dispute about it.

12. Changes to these terms

When these terms change materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and tell account holders in the product before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
